Coke Please.

Ah Coke. The classic American drink. When I open a retro bottle of Coke I feel like I should be in an old commercial with the farm kids skiing behind a horse or flying off a tire swing, like the one below.

Okay. I know that was Mountain Dew.. but I still get the same feelings.

Something about that makes me feel nostalgic towards the old America- not that America is not wonderful now- because it surely is, but something about times when people were more concerned about spending time as a family then in front of a TV or phone or computer attracts me. Times when communities came together because they wanted to. I'm the type of person founded on traditional values and ethics, and that's how I like it.

I always keep the bottles because they are so neat.

Nebraskan Gold

Hey all! So this evening was an absolutely gorgeous night, so I took advantage of the sunshine.

We have a wheat patch by the field and it's beautiful. The golden color mixed with the sunset light was beyond perfect!

I got the feeling that I was shooting for a farming magazine.

I like our barn.

Blue Eyes and Imaginary Things

I apologize for the amount of time it has taken me to get a new post up. I have been thoroughly busy and have not had a chance! I hope to make amends for that today!

On Sunday we had company over. Little girls are perfect for pictures.. even though she did protest about not wanting girly photos [Awww]. We had a blast exploring the farm and discovering many new things (including an imaginary horse)! I was infatuated with her adorable blue eyes.. and my little brother and his brown/hazel eyes got in on these pictures as well, along with a kitten..and a feather.
