About me and The Mavericus

So by now you probably know that my name is Whitney. I am a student in a world that has much to teach.

I hold firmly to the belief that life is beautiful and God is good. That's what I want to share with you here at The Mavericus. This is a blog with really no specific category. I'm not a fashion site, although I like to hope that I have some style. This isn't a food site or a science page.

 This is, simply, a life blog.

I am showing you my life and hoping that you find enjoyment from it.

Some of you might question where the title for this blog came from! That is a question I can easily answer for you. I have been through many blog titles (this is my 4th actually). I'm always changing my mind and regretting my decisions. I think I have finally decided upon a title that I can handle for a longer period of time. The Mavericus. This word is the Latin translation of the word maverick. Maverick means:

This is a word I came across during and English assignment we had. The assignment was to find a word that you though described you then take the first letter of the word and decorate it (all in the spirit of Hester Prynne and her scarlet letter). I fell in love with this word. Even if it might not describe me perfectly, it's something I hope to eventually fit.  What's more is that I hope it fits this blog. I want to show you a life that is different from the rest; thus: The Mavericus.
