Jejune January.

Can I just get a "hallelujah it's the weekend" from someone? That's all that's running through my mind about now! I t has been a long week! It seemed Friday would never come. 

But now it's Saturday and I'm listening to L.I.F.E.G.O.E.S.O.N. by Noah and the Whale.

It's my anthem.

I had the chance last night to shoot my two close friends Tori and Talia.

 This is all in the prospects of an Art contest entry.

I love them so stinking much.

Lucy, my Love.

        I'm sitting at the desk here, drinking a cup of tea out of my hand-painted, (by myself), Harry Potter mug, and feeling perfectly happy. Although classes started up again today, and I already have a mound of homework and a speech for Saturday to memorize, I feel lovely.  Life is good.  "Animal Tracks" by Mountain Man is playing through my speakers and my new love, Lucy, is scampering around my feet yelping at my little brother! 

        So tonight I'd love to introduce you to Lucy! She is an Australian Shepherd puppy and probably cuter than any other, living thing you have ever seen in all of your life! I can't put into words how excited I was when I discovered that she was my Christmas present. For years and years I have been begging my parents for a puppy. BEGGING I TELL YOU. Finally my wish was granted and now we have Lucy, a frisky, adorable, cuddly, adorable, adorable, puppy in our home. 

Enough of my ranting about her adorableness.. I'll just show you.

        Guys, LOOK! Aren't you proud of me?!  This is my third blog post in one week! I am really on a roll, and don't stop me now cause this trains a comin'!  Today was an altogether beautiful day. I got about 5 hours of sleep after watching Parenthood with my cousin last night into the wee hours of the morning, woke up to fresh, homemade pancakes from my mom, then went to my little brochacho's basketball game! I then proceeded to practice speech with my team-mates and friends then went shopping until this evening.  Eventful day indeed!


But.. I'm not entirely sure why I just told you the contents of my Saturday because it really has absolutely nothing to do with this post.

Today I am putting up the first of (hopefully) many drawings that I've done/will do.

This is a drawing of a girl I saw in my Nylon magazine. I was really intrigued by the way her hair was all brushed to the side and her head was tilted. It stood out to me and seemed to shout for attention. It was only an illustration for some type of face cream, but honestly, it said much more than that.

I loved, loved this project.

 I hope you love, love it too. 

Also. I'm wearing a shirt from the men's section of Pacsun.

 It's the cheese. 

If I had a boyfriend I'd buy him clothes from that wonderful place... just sayin. 

It's also freezing in this room and I'm not sure why.

So I'm going to go sit by the fire and cuddle with Lucy (my new pup <post to come).

Coleman A

This summer I got the wonderful opportunity to shoot my beloved cousin, Coleman August. This was a shoot centered around fun and non-serioiusness. Coleman, being the lighthearted soul that he is, did not want all his senior pictures to be quite-so-serious, but paying money for a professional photographer and spending the whole time goofing off doesn't really make sense. So this is where I come in! A photographer(lol...ish) who has time to spare. This was a blast of a day and I enjoyed every random thing we tried. Cousins are cool.
