A Cattle Drive.

This Wednesday my family had to move our 72 cattle two miles down the road to a new pasture full of new grass. This task is not an easy one as we had no fence to hold them in. It was just like they did it in the old days only we had a four-wheeler with us as well. Mom and I were both on horses up until my horse (Watson) had a bit of an emotional break down and was no longer advantageous to our cause (or safe at that.) So mom was on a horse and the rest of us (my 3 brothers, my cousin, and I) were on foot. I managed to get some cool pictures in between the stampedes and chaos. I hope you all enjoy this little fragment of our daily life.

Vintage Transportation.

Earlier last week Talia and I were headed to our friend's house for an evening- before school starts. We were almost there and running late(ish) and we turned onto the gravel road. We were just going along and we stopped for a train. A usual train we thought... we were wrong. The train was going along as normal, but then it started to slow down... and it went slower and slower, until it was literally just inching along. Talia, being her usual rambunctious self, jumped out of the car and hoped on the train- which was still moving. Laughing, I whipped out my camera and the perfect photo opportunity was born when it finally came to a halt right on top of the road we needed to cross.

Trains are actually quite ominous... I don't know if you knew that.

So we started the night out with a bang AND eventually made it to our destination.
Sweet life.

Love, Whitney.

A Sunday.

So this afternoon I thought I'd share this morning's outfit with you. I am in love with it (in a this is my favorite outfit sorta way.)

So I have a basic Chambray-esque shirt that I got at Rue21.
It has brown elbow-pads. *Happy dance*

The dress is a high-low, sheer, black dress from Von-Maur. (I can't say Von-Maur without saying "VooNN-Muaaauuur" in an old-lady English accent.)

The boots (which I am infatuated with) are from TJ-Max. (Double-score)

Welp. I hope you enjoyed it.

Love ya always, Whit.

Not Really a Cat Lady...

So this upcoming post was a debatable one. Why you ask? Well...You see, I took a few pictures of a cat we have out in our barn and it was quite the splendid model for me, but I'm just not into cats. I apologize in advance to anyone who enjoys the presence of a feline, I do not mean you any ill feelings. We all have different things that float our boat, but cat's- not mine.

This proved to be debatable probably because I have this fear that I'm never going to get married and I'm going to be that cranky old lady with 100 cats. So deep down I feel that taking pictures of them is the first step in that direction. Maybe. I'm just paranoid.

She always casts the most depressed looking faces.

She looks like she could be the face for one of those animal cruelty commercials that always come on and ruin your perfectly good vege-time; the ones that hurt your heart and make you want to adopt all the puppies in the world and tell them everything is going to be okay.

I am a dog person though.

I also apologize if the writing in this was sporadic and spastic. I was distracted while posting. Quite possibly, I may have been watching the Olympics.

GO USA.

Love, Whitneyyyyyyyyyyy.
